Workshop Samples

Well, we have another workshop planned for this weekend and this is a sneak preview of the sort of things we will be covering at the workshop. The idea came from Gina K over at StampTV

The first technique is wax resist using wax paper, embossing folders, and distress inks.

The samples here were shown at the last meeting and everyone there had fun playing with the technique.

This is a close up of the image on the above card.

The image here was stamped first.

This card was also shown at the meeting. The image on this was a digital one and printed on the card before doing the wax resist.

We used Spellbinders Nestabilities to cut the shapes after waxing.
Distress inks were applied after the wax resist.

To find out more about this technique, take a look here.

The other technique we are looking at is Clean and Simple Distressing. Sounds like fun? How can you be clean and simple as well as distressed? Actually, we are using distress inks!!!

This is the sort of thing we will be doing at the workshop.

Using a stamped image, a die cut mask and distress inks, we will make some more like this. Quick, simple and effective!

Hopefully, I will remember to take the camera and take some pics of the girls having fun...
